HOW DOES THE BACPAC^® SYSTEM WORK?

1. Primary Treatment The primary treatment tank removes large inert solids from the wastewater stream and provides an equalized flow to the bacpac treatment system utilizing timer controlled raw sewage pumps.

2. Secondary Treatment The bacpac tank provides secondary treatment and phosphorous removal utilizing the Algaewheel™ technology.

3. Tertiary Treatment Tertiary treatment occurs in a standard settling tank where converted nitrates are removed from the water in the form of nitrogen gas leaving clean water to be released to a drainage field.
